FAQ

How long does it take to have my chimney swept?

A chimney sweep with a level 1 inspection typically takes 60–90 minutes. A level 2 inspection can easily exceed two hours.

Will my house get dirty?

No. The proper protections are used to protect the flooring utilizing drop clothes. We also utilize a vacuum designed for chimney sweeps that is used for dust control.

What is the process?

There are a few different techniques, but under most circumstances we utilize rotory brush heads and sweep the chimney from the bottom. We also sweep from the top down. This decision is based on access as well as the type of creosote buildup present. We will then sweep the smoke chamber and smoke shelf and finally the firebox. We will haul away the creosote and ash that has been removed.

How often should my chimney be swept?

According to the NFPA, your chimney should be swept and/ or inspected annually.
